If you own a BlackBerry you probably know the joy of trying to open an app only to see the spinning clock or hourglass on your screen for long periods of time. Many times this is caused by memory leaks or having too much of your memory being tied up with other things. The easiest way to correct this is a simple battery pull. Well for those who don't know there is a free app that will do this for you. It is called QuickPull lite. This free app simulates a battery pull enabling you to free up your memory and get your Berry running full speed again!

So there isn't anything like a clear ram or task manager? My friend hates his BB cuz it freezes constantly.

I have not worked with OS 5 but there are things you can do. Clearing the cache, deleting old messages, and always using the close function on an app instead of just exiting. The rest of the problem can only be cured by a battery pull. A BlackBerry doesn't truly shut down when you turn it off so a power cycle doesn't really help. To avoid the trouble of pulling the battery yourself just get quickpull. It does the same thing without ever doing anything but hitting the icon.

If I am not mistaken on QWERTY models there is a button combo but for best results pull the battery or use quickpull.

Not really. Here is a link to how to preform a soft, double soft, and hard reset. If your berry is running slow a hard reset is the best way to go at least in my opinion.

Like I said this option as far as I know is not available on the Storm as it is touch screen and I do not know if there is a software option as I don't have, and have not used one.
